Mission

The mission of Elshu is to introduce the region to globetrotters that have not yet discovered this year-round paradise.
We plan to be more than a great bed and breakfast.
We plan to create an environment of pampered luxury that surpasses the standard fare for Eritrea.
Elshu is the best choice for a Bed and Breakfast
facility in Eritrea for temporary lodging. This is
because we have been able to create a different
experience capitalizing on hospitality, the homely and
ethnic ambiance of the village, and its unique
location in one of the most attractive parts of the
Eritrea.

Location
The house where Elshu is located was originally built
in 2001 in Wakiduba and is completely equipped for the
modern family.
It is conveniently located 30 minutes from the
airport, which gives tourists easy access to the city
and beyond. It has the potential of three rental
units with a bathroom and a standing shower.
Our goal is to create a "home away from home" which
just may be even more beautiful and palatial than
our customers’ place of origin, guaranteeing a swift
return to El-Shu.
The port city of Massawa (112 klm. Away), with its white sand and surf is ideal for those that prefer a fun day at the beach. El-Shu will be more than happy to provide a ride to and from the city. |

- Asmara’s unique marketplace
- The Dahlak Archipelago and its diving opportunities

In addition to providing information about such locations, we plan to collaborate with tour agencies and businesses throughout the area by offering packages and special rates with in-kind incentives for the cooperating merchants, with most tours originating from the Elshu home.
Services
The Elshu guest will have every need met to ensure
his/her comfort. For special occasions, catered meals,
chilled wine, and more can be provided for your
enjoyment!
During the weekends, guests will return to their rooms
at the Bed and Breakfast in the evening and find
fruit, a warm drink or wine for snacking before
turning in.
The outdoors, with its convenient distance to the more then five surrounding villages gives a breathtaking backdrop for our toured evening walks and bike rides. A beautiful, tropical front yard, and a private area for a bar and grill opens several additional opportunities to relax and watch the sunset into the field of this green paradise.
Amenities that go beyond the typical B&B will include:
- Sweets on pillows
- A complimentary fresh bottled water
- A paid driver for guest uses (much cheaper and convenient then local taxi)
- Radio in each room
- Authentic Eritrean coffee
- Daily fresh-baked muffins and fresh fruit
